This week Laura has posted a shot that she took at a wedding for us to play with in our photo editing software of choice – mine is Lightroom and Photoshop. You can see the original image on Laura’s site Dolcepics.com
This week, I processed the image completely in Lightroom as I wasn’t messing around with adjustment layers. I cropped the image to get the wedding ring on an intersection line (rule of thirds), did a curves adjustment to get more of an S curve. I then converted the image to grayscale, decreased the exposure slightly, whilst boosting the recovery, fill lights and blacks. I also did a split tone in order to get a more chocolating looking finish rather than black and white.

Nice! I’m a huge fan of that “chocolate-y” look – and it works perfectly with this pic!
Whoa, I love the chocolaty black&white you created along with the crop. beautiful!
I like what you did in Lightroom. I have yet to learn how to use it. But I will tomorrow. Your edit gives the photograph a nice classic feel to the moment captured.
Wishing you a scent-sational day!
